Captain's Log: Trip day 6. We started the day in Flagstaff and finished at Circus Circus. The Flagstaff KOA was a real nice choice.

A few unplanned stops on the way to the big canyon were well worth it.

The Grand Canyon was a lot of excitement.  Biking on the rim and some wildlife to make it complete.

A short 104 degree stop at the Hoover damn was also thrown in. By the way, it was a dry heat ... kinda like a fire. What a day.

The kids and MP just came back from a tour of the Circus Circus rides..  tomorrow promises to be a big day as well.

  1. I love your description of the temp! I am convinced all the people who say 104 isn't as bad out west because there is no humidity have never experienced it. 104 is hot, and dry and there is little shade to seek shelter. I remember visiting Aunt Pat's family in Oklahoma one summer in our old RV and thinking that we were literally going to burst into flames. Hope you all survive the heat till you get to the mountains to cool off!!~~
